A calendar, perhaps? With birthdays, events, activities?
A description of your family? Careful here, ask permission first! Maybe not publish too many details, especially about the children.
The history of your family? Once you were all immigrants, where did they come from, and when?
A log-in page for more private stuff?
A contact form?
Favourite cooking recipes?

I would like to have a log-in page for family only, how would I go about doing that? I've never secured a website..
Hey guys this is odd, but check out torchlight.coffeecup.com it's a mod site i'll do when i'm bored, the backround image is not showing up

Not sure if it's the case here, but on some of your sites you have a misspelling: 'backround'.

@Inger : You were correct, I did spell it wrong and that was the problem ;) Thank you !
@Eric: Ok i'll have a look, i'm actually up late tonight due to some strong coffee. No doubt i'll be up early tomorrow morning though if I don't get it installed tonight. :) Thank you Eric!

I think that on the S-drive you can't use php. And besides, you would have to change the file extension on that page from .html to .php. But maybe Eric knows a hack for it? ;)
