When I'm entering (at least) CSS rules and using auto-complete, if I select the item from the list, the first letter will always be doubled. In other words, if I'm typing "b" the auto-complete will suggest items starting with 'b'. If I select 'border', for instance, it will put bborder: instead of border:.

Any idea of what's happening here? The REALLY weird part is that I use the HTML Editor 2008 on both my desktop and laptop and the laptop works fine.

Not to muddy the waters, but is there a way to change the highlight color in the auto-complete box? Again, there are differences between the two machines and the desktop (the one that has the other problem described above) uses some dark red that obscures the text of the suggestions.

To your second question: You can change the highlight colours if you go to Tools - Preferences - Highlighting - Modify and then select the kind of string you want to change colour for.

I couldn't find anything in highlighting for affecting the css auto completion.

The highlight color is set by the Windows System. From the Control Panel, open your Display properties, and select the appearance tab. Now look for the item box, and scroll to selected items and you can change the system-wide highlight color.

I reinstalled the app and the double entry problem went away. Thanks for the pointers on the highlight color.
