2010 Build 318
Used FrameMaker and RoboHelp to create HTML files. When I open generated help files in CoffeCup the first three characters in every file are "". I do not see these charaters in Notepad or WordPad.
What is causing the characters and how do I keep CoffeeCup from adding them?

You might also want to update your version of the program as the current version is Build 369. Always possible that updates address some of the issues that older versions had so you might want to give that a try also
Also, there are sometimes issues with third party created themes and files that happen that are not always (but can be) something wrong with the CC program. I have found some themes created by another source that add a normal ? question mark to the front of the Doctype on me when I first load them, and upon removing and saving them they are then fine. No clue what causes it, just know it does lol so maybe that's the case here.
A link might also help people to find what might be causing it if it's something fairly detectable so if you have that it would help too
