Disappearing file contents......

Hello Scott,

Just a last post on this... As I can now replicate the disappearing file contents at will....

Open 2 files, any files, at random,

In one of them just type some random characters to change the saved state....

Now 'Close' the files....

I have tried all of the 'Close' options and it seems its the 'Close All' option that does it....

Cancelling the close options if the text stays on the screen as it should... Allowed me to test each function....

However when closing the files with 'Close All', all the text disappears and the prompt comes up.

If I allow the save process, all the text is lost..

Regards
Peter

I am not able to reproduce this here Peter. Can you try and outline this more in step by step form so I can follow exactly what you are doing to replicate it here?

Hello

Here is what I do....

Run the Editor

Double click a file in my htdocs dir on the left side of my screen to open it...

Do that again and open a second one...

Click on the page of the open file that is displayed...

type two or three characters, any where on the page....

Go to the 'Close All' icon or option in the menu.... and select it...

The untouched file closes and the second file i typed into is displayed
completely empty.... And the save dialogue appears on top of it.

Thats it......

I can do it EVERY time, with any pair of files, time after time after time, continuously!

All the other ways to close files are fine....

Close all is the one that does it.

You lost me at "Go to the 'Close All' icon or option in the menu.... and select it..." On that dialog, what do I do?

There is Yes, No, Cancel and and X. These all do different things. Which one are you using?

Sorry, am pretty hopeless............

Open two files....

type in one....

Now use the mouse.... Go to 'FILE' in the menu bar... (Top left)

Select it.....

Now select 'Close All' from the options in the drop down menu....

The untouched file closes

The edited one is blank and the SAVE (Confirm changes) Yes No Cancel pops up

The page behind it is EMPTY....

I cancel....

The save popup dialogue isnt the issue....

The issue is that the page is wiped clean just before it appears...

Strange. It doesn't do that for me at all here.

Anyone else reading this thread, can someone else replicate this?
