RJ TextEd is pretty good, and it's free!
I was looking for the comparison as well! Since there isn't one, that makes me think that there is no difference, OR, it has things that aren't really that useful!

Coffeecup, there used to be a great editor called Homesite. Macromedia bought it or it was theirs to begin with, it came out 30 years ago!

Adobe bought Macromedia and stopped updating Homesite, because they wanted to use that ASS editor Dreamweaver!

My point is you should make an editor that is just like Homsite!!!

I'm considering using the free version of the Windows HTML Editor for a class. I'd like to know what the differences are between the free and paid versions. I don't see a comparison anywhere on the site. I did find a brief, rather vague answer in the forum, but it was older and not very specific.

Can someone direct me to a comparison or fill me in on exactly what the differences are? I just installed the free versions and it states that features "disappear" after 21 days. I'd like to know what will be removed before committing to using this for a class. Also I don't want to use anything in my class preparation that will not be available later.

I remember Homesite, and I might still have version 1 of it on an old floppy. I used it 30 years ago, and found it great. However, the development of the internet and the software for it has developed so much since then that I wouldn't use it now. 20 years ago, I came across Coffeecup's HTML Editor and opted for the change. I still use the Editor, and also the newer Site Designer. The latter is being updated regularly, but the Editor could definitely do with a little love.
Ha en riktig god dag!
