Hello.
Over the winter I bought a domain name and website tonight from godaddy.com. I wanted to creat a site with info about parenting, natural living, etc and would eventually like to add a blog and try google adsense.
I have not done anything with the site yet because I do not like there templates. I've read online about CoffeeCup software and it looks pretty interesting.
If I purchase the editior and design software do I still need the website tonight or can I just use them (or someone else) to host the site? Which one would give me more flexibilty with design and layout?
I found some great templates online but they are for blogs and the ones I've seen for websites are boring or expensive.
thanks!

An html editor will always give you more flexibility and the pages can still be used with Godaddy or any other host. They'll even be easier to move to a different host as you'll have a local copy of your site. For what you're thinking of the HTML Editor would be better than the Visual Site Designer. You can trial it before buying.

I'm not sure what agreement was involved with Godaddy's Website Tonight package, but you should check with them as to whether you can use other software with the free hosting. Maybe they won't care, or maybe they won't want you to have too much freedom with their free hosting.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
