I'm having the same problem here with CC now refusing to allow me to Send to the ftp...there is no time periods between uploading to the ftp, I've tried passive ftp on and off, I just re-built the entire webpage hoping there was some error on it and a new page would work...nope...deleted temp files as per Rosi's post in late January under another topic...
The free FTP, perhaps I'm just not very smart, but that doesn't create my html of the homepage it uploads the *.vnu......
This whole thing was so simple BEFORE I downloaded the newer version...or perhaps its my imagination, but I simply cannot get past the "spelling" error regardless of what I change....
Anyone else? I'm ready to change software (regret that cause I have three, VSD, Firestarter and Flash Form) but this hasn't worked for a week and we're now one week out from a presentation where we told folks to "check out the website" that I now cannot update....is there any way to fix this?

I'm having the same problem. Sometimes it uploads, sometimes it doesn't. I have configured my firewall to allow DirectFtp and I know it's not my server because I can upload fine using WSFTP.
This is very frustrating. Please reply.

OK, now that I have my pathways EXACTLY right, it works. It requires the initial /web/etc
Before, I didn't have the initial "/" in there.

I am experiencing the same problems others report here with using FPT to upload from CoffeeCup. I can upload fine the first time but subsequent attempts at uploading fail. This happens every time.
However in trying this on several computers I have reached the following conclusion: The problem only occurs with my Athlon CPU PCs but not with my Intel CPU laptops. The settings are identical in each case, working through the same firewall and broadband connection.
I have no idea why this is, but it has been present over a number of releases (it was there in the 2005 versions too).

The FTP via HTML Editor does not work for me either. The test reports that it is working but it seems to get stuck at "retrieving files". I have used three other FTP programs accessing my site at Host Gator with no problems. I have two configured with secure ftp with no problems. Here is copy of my ftp logs from HTML Editor.

If you folks ever get it figured out, I suggest you also allow the user to configure port for secure ftp instead of the default of 22. Host Gator requires port 2222.

I have no idea what happened to make HTML Editor FTP work, but it is working now. I suspect it was something in either the HOST or ISP cache. Either that or the wrong remote directory setting. Scott did provide a solution of checking and unchecking passive mode and that might have fixed it. I have passive mode checked.

As to the port 2222, you have always had that ability to customize. Just edit your FTP Settings and click the "Advanced" button. Here you can modify the port.
