What is the best way to position a LOGO in a Header that was developed in visual design (not VSD)?

I tied to manually adjust the position with the ruler on top and the height width references on the bottom of the page. This is tedious and the setting seem to be different for each page when each came from the same template.

There are settings ("top" "left" etc) on the bottom of the window when the LOGO is active but they have no effect on the LOGO.

The references to the "center" function found in earlier posts does not seem to apply here.

There has to be a better way
