All of the themes we sell have the image in there for the preview. If you make a theme, you need to create the preview image yourself. The dimensions need to be 461x360 and named preview.png.

Where is this "Files" tab? I have no such tab in my HTML editor, that I know of.

Thanks,
Tim

Hiya Timothy,

When you unpack the themes you should be able to unpack them to the current folder/directory that already holds the themes for the HTML Editor. I'm trying to recall just where that is, but there are only 2 places to check for that. First check in your documents folder for a Coffecup folder of some sort. That would be my first guess as to where the themes are stored. If they are not in there then check the program files for your coffeecup software installation area where the programs are installed and see if there is a themes location there that the default themes are in.

I created a folder of my own inside that area and put any of my own themes in there, but you can pretty much put them in any folder within that area and it should pick them up automatically then when you try loading themes within the HTML Editor. You "may" need to be sure that CCHTML Editor is not running at the time you're unzipping the themes, but I'm not sure if that is necessary or not. It's a good practice though in any case.

Hope that helps and sorry I can't be more specific as I'm not at my own computer at the moment.

Why would there be an XML file? These are themes for our HTML Editor ;)

Ok, so after unpacking the themes to "C:\Documents and Settings\Tim\My Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Themes", is where I am confused. I open the CCHTML editor, and choose "File / New Page from theme". I choose "My Themes", and there is nothing there. In the above post, they reference the "Files" tab, where you put in the theme location, but I see no such thing. I am new to this, so I apologize for being a burden.

The following step-by-step instructions will show you how to install HTML Editor Themes.

3. Extract the XML file and the accompanying folder in the theme ZIP files to the desired location on your computer.

4. Open HTML Editor and use the Files tab to select the folder where you unzipped your themes. The window beneath the one you used to browse your computer will display your theme files.

OK, although I don't use any themes and therefore do not know all the intricacies involved, I feel your pain Tim :/ and would like to assist in a small way.
As per the quote above, Scott did refer to an xml file, which he apparently later disowned...;)
Instead of the "Files tab", maybe you should try the "My Computer" tag, where you can navigate to the folder containing the downloaded themes and then go from there. May be worth a try...:)

Tim,
I, of course, meant the "My Computer" tab (on the left side of the HTML Editor), rather than "tag"...
