I did what Inger suggested. . Uninstalled using Revo with advanced scan setting, Deleted all leftovers, ran a Registry clean, Re-booted, downloaded a new copy of CC (build 369 I think) and installed that. I've never put my user files in the CC folder..that is so DOS...They live in Docs in their own dir and have for years.

Getting real tired of this crap, I can tell you. Actively looking for a new HTML editor. Will settle for a new job tasting alcoholic beverages.

Well, my first suggestion was reformatting...

But probably not right after you get home from that job...

Well...even though though I can tell that this thread is a bit of a joke to the CC staff (what with all the format each week to keep things tidy talk,) I will just add my last experiences with what I used to think was a great program.

I pulled out a tower that was waiting to go to a rental place I have for clients, but since the last one that came in had their own laptop, I had this machne just sitting here.
It is a 2 GHz Pentium 4 with a Gig of RAM and 60 GB drive. Some sorta NVidia card...fairly basic. It runs Win 7 Basic, 32Bit. Very virgin with respects to what is installed. IE, Skype and a bit of Windows Live crud...Pic viewer, Mesh (to sync my CC files) and such.

Well, hey now. I figured why not give CC a chance to show what it could do on this machine, so I installed it and set it up. Synced my files onto it and set it loose on my new bunch of luxury properties in St. Martin.

Right off the bat, I found that it does not suffer from the Constant Load behavior which is WONDERFUL ... BUT it is a slow as molasses to open up and saving has become even slower than my laptop...I get to around 12, 13 Mississippi then the file saves and un-freezes aso I can get back to work.

I've decided that I will do this project on this machine since the "Constant Load" ghost is seeminghly gone, but I am having a bit of trouble getting used to hitting CTRL S and then sitting back and waiting rather than getting moving on the next file or whatever.

Oh well. I wish there was some real help from CC and not just jokes but so be it. I am still actively looking for an HTML editor with some supportive support people. Maybe Santa has heard me.

John, we are like that, we joke and have fun while trying to help. And if you didn't know, people answering questions here in the forum are not CC staff, we are users just like yourself, who have made ourselves fairly accustomed to and acquainted with the various programmes by using them for years.

Have you tried the REAL support system that CoffeeCup has? Have you submitted a ticket and got in touch with one of the real experts? If not, you should try that before you give up on the html Editor. You find the link under Support up on the nav bar. They may not answer within minutes just now at Christmas, but normally they do.

As I said earlier, the prog. is working ok for thousands, but of course there might be some driver or whatever that makes problems, and if that is the case, CoffeeCup is as keen as anyone to find out and come up with a solution.

As Inger said, we do all joke around in here. That is what makes the forums so nice and not some stale place with no personality. However Inger is also correct that if you would like official help from us, you should submit a support ticket. I also take a look at your account and you have only submitted one support ticket before and that was in 2009. There have been no other e-mails from you. Whenever you want help from us, it is always best to submit a support ticket as forums are more used for getting help from other users and volunteers.

I hate to say it though, but looking over everything that is posted here, I honestly don't think there is anything else I could even suggest to help you out. It is strange that you have these issues when so many others do not.

Scott, maybe you could ask all those people in this thread who have the same problem, to give you the specs of their PCs and also a list of the software they have installed. For all we know there might be some common denominator. Maybe there actually is some driver, configuration or app that is incompatible with the Editor?

Hey, John. The reformat comment I made was an inside joke from a recent thread between some folks here. This is a user based forum and not considered official support, so we can crack a smile now and then. Happy Holidays. :)
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
