Build 305 Slow in Windows 7

I have a new Windows 7 computer that is very fast! For some reason HTML build 305 is painfully slow. Every other program on this computer just screems except for this one. It takes around 45 seconds for the program to even load. When I save it takes any where between 15 and 30 seconds to save.
Any idea what's going on?

32bit or 64bit?
Are you running it in any kind of compatibility mode?
Did you try to uninstall and reinstall?

I'm using Build 305 on Win 7 home premium 64 bit on an I7 and it opens almost instantly and saves even faster.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

I have the same experience as Tom as well. Have you tried re-installing the software? Also, do you have any anti-virus/firewall applications that could be interfering with the software?

I'm am running in Windows 7, 64 Bit. I am running Zone Alarm but it has never affected Coffee Cup software before. I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling but based on your imput I'll try that. I'll report on the results.
Thanks all for you inputs.

I uninstalled HTML, rebooted my computer, turned off Zone Alarm, reinstalled Coffee Cup HTML and it still takes 30 seconds before the previously opened pages are up and it still takes 10 - 15 seconds to save a file.
It seems a little better but still not like Tom says "opens almost instantly and saves even faster".
I turned Zone Alarm back on and didn't notice any difference either way.

It must be some other software causing a conflict; I use Windows 7 and have no issues speed-wise with the software. Since I upgraded from Vista to 7 instead of a clean installation, I did have to reinstall CCHTML becuase the upgrade process broke it somehow. Other than that, no issues. You could try the various compatibility modes to see if that helps, or use a third-party process manager to kill extraneous processes on your machine until you find the one causing the conflict. Long and laborious but that's the troubleshooting road I would try going down first.

I have a problem with saving on Build 305 in Windows 7. I maintain 5 sites on CoffeeCup. Four are small and all work perfectly. One site is very large and recently when I save a file I have been working on (however small it is) it takes ages to save (up to one minute). If I have several files open it can take five minutes before I can continue work. On the small sites all files save instantly.

I have no other issues with CoffeeCup and also not with anything else on this computer.

Anthony - I would HIGHLY recommend opening a support ticket. These forums are great, and a lot of problems get solved around here, but really this is a user to user support group. The folks at CC are known for stopping in here and helping out, but an official support ticket will ensure a most timely response.

That being said, have you tried turning off firewall, anti-virus, anti-??? type programs? These tend to cause a lot of problems, and not JUST with CC programs.

Here's a link to your support room where you can open that ticket - https://www.coffeecup.com/help/myroom/

I have had this problem with the latest build and my 32 bit Windows 7 installation. I am convinced it is not the editor but Widows or conflicting software. I imagine it is a TSR if it is conflicting software. Here is another symptom. Adding images takes upwards of 20-30 seconds per image regardless of image size. Also, when opening using NEW BLANK PAGE, it takes about 45 seconds to come up with the next dialog box. During this time, the program is unresponsive (you can't close it) except through TASK MANAGER. A reinsttaltion of Windows fixes the problem. But here is more, IE 8 runs slow when loading web pages with images or media. Media player will occasionally refure to load files.

I have scanned and repaired registry errors, disabled my anti virus program, disabled the firewall and yes, I reinstalled Coffeecup HTML Editor. I have to creat a yearbook page with close to 300 images, so if I want it to get done by the end of this decade I can use the system as it is, write the code in notepad or trash the install and do it again. Sadly, I will have no choice to do the later.

I would love to see Coffeecup provide LINUX versions!
