What is Scott loading on my computer?

Scott or someone official...

I just upgraded to VSD7-Build 15 and during the installation my firewall (which is set to protect
me against fishy stuff) said that {4F091441-54E2-454F-BA97-E4D8023D78C4} is trying to set
itself up to run every time I boot up my computer. Denying it access to do so resulted in installation
failure. When I allowed it access, installation proceeded normally.

Now, what is this {4F091441-54E2-454F-BA97-E4D8023D78C4}, and why in the world would I
want another Autoload program taking up space in my otherwise lean operating memory setup
and on my hard disk?

And, what happens if I delete it from my hard disk now that installation has run? Also, what
is Coffee Cup doing, doing this, receiving secret messages from my pretty hard drive?

Just do a search in your registry to see what that key is. It probably has to do with registration, updating, or the S-Drive. Many programs now "call home" and is nothing to worry about as long as the company is reputable.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Tom-
Were I a technogeek I'd probably muck around with my registry without blowing myself up, however I know just enough to stay away from the registry.

Rather, although I consider Coffeecup a legit company, I still want to know what someone is putting on my system and using up memory resources for (running in the background?). For all I know, it could be a mad plot to hide Easter Eggs, or Scott storing his favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes all over the Internet with an eye to putting Mrs.Fields out of business.

It's a legitimate question to ask, of a legitimate company, when something unexpected happens while installing their software. Also, it's possible something else bad and unrelated could have occurred at the time
.
So, I'd still like to know what's up with the {4F091441-54E2-454F-BA97-E4D8023D78C4} thing during my VSD7-Build15 installation...without coy evasiveness.

That key must be unique to you because I do not have it in my registry here. There is also nothing in our software that violates any privacy issues or does a call back to home base with your private information. ;)

Scott-
First, I just went to my programs list and it said that there is another (second) VSD build 15 update. I downloaded Build 15 yesterday which may have been my problem.

Yesterday's version Build 15 - 25,239,744 MB
Today's version Build 15 - 25,515,200 MB

So what gives? Tell me you didn't stuff 275,456 KB worth of chocolate chip recipes in there for today's version... Shouldn't this be Build 15B, or something? Or, maybe my original download got screwed up?

Those are company trade secrets and you need level 15 clearance for me to be able to tell you.

Sorry. ;)

Scott-
I have level 16 - because the customer is always right, mostly.
Seriously, is today's build15 different than what I installed yesterday, since
the downloaded file sizes are different?
