Recently installed W8 a couple weeks ago. Then this last week it turned out I've needed to update some sites. Reinstalled VSD and other cc software and updated my sites with out issue.

As I understand W8 is basically W7 wrapped up differently so I didn't expect any issues and so far that seems to be the case for any apps I've installed including cc software... :)

I also recently upgraded to Win 8 and so far everything is going great. I'm getting much better performance out of my apps.

Just be sure to backup all your files for your site(s) as well as email and and and, well you hopefully know what all to backup before a format etc.

It's best to install it on a clean install, but I do know a couple people that have done upgrades to Windows 8 instead of a clean formatted install and it worked fine too so far. Just backup all your important things and you'll be fine. :)

I have Windows 8 "Pro" and most of the CC software. VSD doesn't "see" the other software - such as Photo Gallery on the scroll bar left ... not Sitemapper .. etc.

Is there a specific sequence I should have installed the software ... I installed VSD first ... everything is on the "C" drive ... under the Program Files (x86) directory ... then "CoffeeCup Software" ... etc. - as the installers placed it.

If I need to delete & reinstall ... what can I "save" - such as Themes, Graphics, etc. ... I'd like to minimize the time required to get it functional - but getting it working correctly is priority #1.

Thanks.

@ronnie ... if you "right-click" the icon, a "run as administrator" button appears on the bottom of your screen ... click it - and it should run without problem.
