Is it necessary to uninstall my current, registered, version before installing the latest upgrade for VSD (or any of the software for that matter)?

If I do have to uninstall, will my project files be retained so that I can find them with the latest version?

A lot of programs I've purchased that have free upgrades have an upgrade option under the help tab. Might be something to consider on future upgrades...

hi Michael,
you can just install the upgrade and it will aytomatically remove the older version. however because this method may work for some, others have had problems so Coffeecup does not recommend it. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I've had no problems installing without uninstalling. you won't lose any of your projects, but once you use the new version, you won't be able to open it in the older version unles you keep a back up copy.Which should include the .vnu
