I've finished creating my first website using VSD, and have an impression to share: VSD is a terrific site design tool, yet I'm surprised by what it leaves out.

All the site attributes covered in the FireFactor Website Optimization Report should have corresponding content creation features built into VSD. For example, it should be possible to pull down a menu, select "Robots", fill out a form or wizard, and have VSD create the right text file and place it into the right directory.

The Optimization Report should be built right into VSD, or be accessible through it.

VSD should present a checklist of site features, and run an analysis of the level of feature completion and effectiveness. A user would look down the checklist for items that have been forgotten, or need more work. If, for example, the user had forgotten to do meta tags, the checklist would flag that attribute as incomplete. Clicking on the flag would open the meta tag creation page.

By the time one hits the upload button, there should be a finished, strong website.

We are actually working on just such a thing now. Although it will be a separate paid service, we will be integrating our FireFactor service very closely to our HTML Editor and Visual Site Designer applications.
