Building my new site in VSD v.6. PC Vista, Firefox stated browser. When I click on preview, some of the text and pics are in different places on the page. Can anyone explain why? I adjusted so it would look right in preview (and wrong when designing) but I'm afraid of what will happen when I upload. Thank you : )

Hi Michelle would you possibly be able to supply a screenshot of your page or link would be best, you can upload for a quick viewing- in the www of your ftp settings just add /foldername and VSD will make that folder and load all the contents there so nobody will see them.....thanks:)

Hi Bruzer,

Thank you so much for responding. I decided to take a chance and upload the new site since I needed it for a client. It looks fine in Firefox but the text is a mess in Safari. I had this problem with my first VSD several years ago and had to change the text to an object for it to read on a Mac. I thought this problem had been fixed in more recent updates (I'm using the most recent VSD) but I'm still having that same old problem. Can you shed any light on this problem? Need to fix asap since it looks so horrible to a large part of the world. If it helps the site is bellamichelle dot com.

Thank you.

H Michelle,
sorry for the delay, I have a question how did you add the txt? copy paste, type it in, excell?
I copied your text into VSD, made the font smaller, page size height 1500 and it didn't overwrite on to other text. I'm not exactly sure why yours does it but am thinking text size with less room may be the problem, smaller text is readable as well as large even for my bad eyes- i would just experiment with it-unless someone who has this problem can lend a helping hand as to your specific problem. I don't believe it's a VSD problem though. I know sorry not much help !:/

Hi

I copied and pasted from word to VSD. That allowed me to spell check first : )

I think it may be a VSD problem as I have had this problem before. I don't want to go to the solution of making the text an object if I can help it. When you do that you lose the links.

The site looks fine in FF and IE but not Safari. I don't think it is a type size problem though. B/c...even on the site home page (on safari) the two words of text "welcome and enter" are messed up. On FF and IE, it is on one line. On safari it splits onto two lines and they are uneven.

Gee, what should I do now?

PS It doesn't overwrite in VSD including VSD preview. The problem is when the site is uploaded and viewed in Safari.

Hi Bruzer,

Thank you for your kindness in responding. I can't see your link above. I downloaded the plug in but it still won't download for me. I'll assume what you saw wasn't looking right though!

I'm going to hunt around the site now for the place to put in the support ticket. Thank you for the suggestion.

Yuck, that's a mess. I put in a support tkt. BTW, I see you put your copyright notice all over my site. Um, you can't do that. I have already copyrighted it, including all my images, and it is all registered with the US copyright office. Please take down the above posts. Thank you. And, again, thank you for your help trying to figure out the VSD problem.

Michelle,
I'm quite certain that Bruzer is NOT trying to move in on your right to copyright your work. In fact, he did not put his copyright on any part of your site, but rather the work that he did (the video) to help identify your problem. As far as removing posts, that is not common practice on this forum, as this is a HELP forum for ALL CC users/potential users to draw from others experiences. It is the way MANY of us here have learned the skillsets that we currently posses.
