VSD - Linking (and storing) files for...

Don't know if this is the proper forum for this question. I have a need to make a web page that links to files located online via a button. Where in the file structure of the hosting service are the files stored, and how do I link to that location/file from within VSD? (Example: weekly church bulletin posted online for parishioners to view.) I'd like a button that opens a file explorer which contains the files.

Thanks,
Kevin

If you add the files inside of VSD, they will all be located at http://www.mydomain.com/files/Download

To set this up, add a button and click the "Link" toolbar icon and then click "Link to a document", browse to find the file and you are all set. Now just save and upload.

Ok, I think I understand but does that mean that VSD will create a directory at my host called "files/download" that I can ftp files to as files are created for users? Or would I have to adjust VSD and save and upload each time I added a file.

Does anyone have an example online?

Yes, that is correct. VSD will do all that automatically for you. You would only manually ftp files there if you bypass adding then through VSD.
