Hi Sue,
Could you also try something else.go to my computer, open your c drive> then go to documents and settings>open the folder with the name of your comp, (owner or whatever)>then look for local settings folder and open that.>
you should see a temp folder open that also.> now you should see a folder called vsd_tmpdir open that. select all and delete. the files will go to your trash bin but do not empty it. after your done. try and open vsd. please let me know. if it makes no difference then restore all from the trash bin.

to find out the location of where your files came from originally ( Colosimo) you could always go to the db file vsd makes. it should say there. As far as images made with the shapes tool, you can go into your files folder where vsd holds the images and look for the images that start with IMG and save them as what you want to name them for future use.

Have you made a support ticket?

Hi Bruzer,
Thanks for the idea on the IMG files. I can find out what they are by opening them, rename them, and then change the reference in the program. I orginially thought that VSD was generating new names for them each time, because on an unsuccessful upload of my website, I noticed that the wrong images were appearing (ie, IMG_17 was something different that what it was before I changed the website). If I can just use real names and then suck the images in with that name, and not have VSD rename them, I will be fine.

I could not find anything that looked like a DB file. What directory would it be in? Should it be in the same place that VSD puts the VNU file?

Hi Colosimo,
VSD by defaultplaces your website folder and vnu file in My Document. (vnu file outside the website folder) Anytime you use the advanced text vsd will consider it an image and name as I stated, same goes with any shapes.

You will find the db file located on your server in the root directory or look in the vsd_tempdir folder, you can open it in notepad. please note that VSD does not resize the original images for example if you use an image as a thumbnail, and the original is 2000x1986 then VSD loads the big image in it's natural size and that to will hinder an upload, and on your website will load slow too. Just an fyi thing
