I just upgraded to VSD 7 and encountered a problem with the spaces between paragraphs of the text in the text frames of a site that I originally designed in 5.9.4 and then continued working on in 6.06. This problem did not exist in previous versions of VSD. In VSD 7, the spaces between paragraphs are 5 pixels larger than they are in IE and Chrome. (I haven't checked Firefox or Opera yet, but I assume they will be identical to IE and Chrome because of the browser consistency feature of VSD 7.) As a result, my pages end up with excessive space between successive text frames and other objects I've created below the text. In other words, VSD 7 is not WYSIWYG! The only way I can reduce the spacing in VSD to match the spacing in IE and Chrome is to add a space on the blank line between paragraphs, which is something I should not have to do. When I add a space, the next paragraph of text moves upward by 5 pixels. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Thanks for the suggestion, Eric, but that article is addressing a different issue. I'm talking about the spaces between paragraphs inside of a text frame, not the spaces between the text frames themselves. None of my text frames overlap and none of my text frames and objects overlap, and I do not use hard returns in my text frames except when I am at the end of a paragraph. The issue here pertains to the number of pixels that the space between paragraphs uses in VSD 7 vs. the number of pixels that the space between paragraphs uses in IE, Chrome, etc. The size of the font is irrelevant. I am using a #1 and #2 Verdana font in different text frames, and the vertical dimension of the spacing between paragraphs for both sizes of the Verdana font is different in VSD 7 than it is in IE, Chrome, etc. The only way I can get the spacing between paragraphs to be the same in VSD 7 is to press the space bar once on that line. When I do this for the #1 Verdana font, the space is reduced by 5 pixels, and what I see in VSD 7 becomes identical to IE, Chrome, etc. As a result, the layout of my page will then be WYSIWYG. But this is not a solution because I'm not going to go through every text frame on every page in my web site and insert a blank space on each line between every paragraph of text, and neither will anyone else.

What we really need to properly debug this is the HTML output. The seems like an issue with the line-height CSS property, but we need to see the code to be sure.

Tom, contact CC support and send them zipped all the source files of your project, including the .vnu file. Then they will be able to find out what is misbehaving.

Isn't he hitting enter for spacing between the paragraphs? Isn't this a no no.
