In the new VSD Version 6.0, will we be able to add background images in lieu of a single color? By this I mean the background behind the actual webpage.

You can do that now. Go to the Settings Menu > Standard settings for new pages. Under page background use the "Picture" option.

So, what did we need 6.0 for?

*ducking* Just joking!

No no, I dont want the page background to be an image... i want the background behind and on both sides of the page to be an image. The background background... not the page background.

OK, I'm a noob. What do you call all the space around the page when page doesnt fill the whole window? The only Setting I can find to change that only allows for a sold color under "Settings/Background Fill"

Ah, yeah no you can't do that in VSD. Honestly I don't see that becoming a feature in the software in the foreseeable future.

Sorry Scott ;(

Has the doctype been fixed?

I keep seeing pages with this as the doctype:

<!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.01 transitional//en" "http://www.w3.org/tr/html4/loose.dtd">

When it should be this:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

I dont know anything about the Doc Types, but why is the "case significant?

I didn't think there was much in HTML (or flavors of) that was 'case sensitive'... Both looked fine to me. Maybe I'm still too newb.

The case is significant in that the w3c validator will not recognize the doctype VSD produces, so it can't be used to find errors in the code when people ask for help.
