VSD 6.0 B4 - Website looks different...

I just needed some modifications to my website http://www.rses.com which was designed fully using VSD 5.x

The changes were made with VSD 6 Build 4 but the site looks messy in Firefox - my preferred browser - compared to IE7.

For example, under the menu there is only one line. There are two in Firefox. The text in the Services page overflows from the page in Firefox, but in VSD and in IE7 it is exactly like it should. There are other cosmetic differences as well between the two browsers.

How can I fix it?

Thanks.

HI Devek,
just out of curiousity did you attempt a resync? if so I would also try seeing if maybe uninstalling restarting and then reinstall, that should do the trick. IMO...

I did not resync... don't even know what you mean.

I FTP the files and over-wrote the previous files. I may try to delete everything on the web server and FTP it again... even though it doesn't make sense.

It is something with how Fairefox reads those new files because everything works well in IE.

Are your page doc types all correct?

Eg:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

It's also messed up in IE8 too.

VSD lets you select between transitional and strict doctypes. For some reason, it switched you to strict. Change it back to transitional and the page will look correct in FF and IE8.

Thank you very much. Yes, it was the DOCTYPE setting. I totally forgot about that.

Many thanks again.
