Using lastest VSD version.
When I look in view source I can see that somehow meta tag text is listed midway down the page--not high up like my other pages and it doesn't say "meta." I tried removing the meta tag info in CC from the "edit, keywords & descriptions" but that didn't work. There is nothing in the edit header. I was messing with/updating metatags when this happened, but I never clicked "apply to all pages" only "apply to this page" This problem is on three of my pages.
I'm thinking of going into my vnu folder and manually removing the strings....but wanted to check if that's the right way to do it. Maybe there is a faster fix I'm not thinking of. I think this happened once before and I can not remember what I did.
I'm stumped as to how that could have slipped into the wrong area. Here are the 5 lines of coding that show up on view source, and thanks for any suggestions!

You need to put the meta tags in the header editing box. It's there for you to paste in your meta tags or anything else that goes into the header that's not a description or keyword.

Oh. Maybe I am a bit mixed up-- I see "meta names" & "descriptions" high up on my pages when I view source...I guess that's different than meta "tags." So, I am talking about descriptions and keywords.

Anyway, my main questions has to do with resolving the issue of having the descriptive words showing up on my website page in odd places.

If I originally had them in the "edit keywords & descriptions" for the page, and then I deleted them so there is nothing there now....how is it they now appear? And how did they get to be the code you see in my original post above??? And how did it get to the middle of my page?(they also show up at the top of my page. All are on the right and/or left margins.

Is there a quick and easy way to get rid of them? I don't want to do some that causes problems.

Those lines of code are defining images that (I expect) appear somewhere on the web page in question. The descriptive text is being defined using the "alt" tag which I would expect you entered when you edited the image attributes. The first image is also set up to be a link to your home page. None of that code represents meta tags, though it could appear so if the alt text for the image definitions is similar to the keywords you used.

Windy,

With a link, someone can look at the site and maybe tell you exactly what is causing the problem.
