If you have not seen this yet, version 6.0 Build 1 released today now has support for Web Analytics. To add this to your Website, go to the Edit Menu > Insert Web Analytics.

Any code you add in this area will be placed right before the /body tag. This is also the perfect location for those stat counters.

I have tried to paste the Google analytics code into my site built with Coffee Cup Visual Site Designer and it does not do anything. Is there some trick to it other than to copy and paste the code into the box like shown above?

All you need to do is paste in the code to the box above and that is it. How do you know it is not working?

Nothing shows in the box after I paste.
And when I go to the site and do a View Source the code is not there.

Not sure I understand the issue. If you paste code in the box, you are saying nothing is pasted in there? If code is pasted in there but not on your website, have you re-uploaded your site?

Correct when I click to paste nothing shows up in the box.
Yes, I have re-uploaded to the site and the code is not there either.

I would suggest opening a support ticket then. I have never heard of the paste feature not working in the Analytic box before

I am having the same problem. When I go to paste the selected text disappears, but nothing is pasted in and I get a "bounce" sound, the one that indicates that what you are trying to do isn't allowed. I have a simple one-page site, so I just pasted the code into the header HTML box. Not sure if this is appropriate
