That is very strange. I have not seen that reported before. Can you tell me if the keyboard shortcut or the File Menu > Save or Save As removes the *

Scott,

I see this problem, too (the * not going away after saves). I have tried all the methods for saving:

1. icon

2. menu -> save

3. menu -> save as a different name

4. keyboard shortcut

The asterisk stays there in every case and on program exit it asks you whether you want to save (even though you might already have).

This is today's build 2.

I was not able to re-produce it in Build 1 but I have confirmed it in Build 2. Will be a very easy fix. I do know though that the data is being saved even though there is a * still.

Yeah, I neglected to note that: works fine as is, just a minor glitch. It's all good. ;)

Website Theme "In Tune" has four links showing as piano keys. I need eight. Can I add four more links to the piano keys. Could be you can’t change the looks of a theme. I know I can add to a theme but can I match what is there?

I can't provide you a version with 8 keys, as it's a copyrighted theme that you have to pay for, but I can offer just a set of eight "piano keys" set up nearly the same way. These have text added to the buttons so you can customize them and all the underlying stuff is one big group so it's easy to just click on the buttons themselves.

To get these into your site, open this .vnu file and select everything (again, the stuff surrounding the buttons is grouped so you can select the whole lot more easily) then copy or cut the selections. Start a new site, or open your existing site, answer yes to closing the existing one, and when your site is open, just paste. The whole shebang should appear in the proper place. It's up to you to set up the links to new pages and modify the button text as you need. VSD makes that a snap.

If you need fewer than eight buttons, ungroup the background stuff and delete the thin black lines you don't need, delete the un-needed buttons, and just downsize the big black and white background squares to suit.

I have to provide it as a link because this forum software doesn't permit .zip attachments to be uploaded.

I've downloaded build 2 of VSD 6.0 and I still can't change the background color on a page from the "PAGE PROPERTIES" dialogue box. Was I misstaken when I thought that this was one of the things that were fixed in build 2 ?

I downloaded VSD 6.0 and so far it looks great. One question about the text editor:

Is there any way to align (left, right, center) a selection without everything else that is in the text box changing as well? You can make words bold, underlined on their own, but not align them without everything else following suit. Is this an easy change for 6.0 build 3? Am I missing something?

Thank you.

PS: Thank you for the 'a' text editor fix.

Probably not. We are trying to limit any new features for 6.0 right now so that we can roll this version out. Maybe for 6.1 or 6.2

Scott / Spinny,

Thanks for seeing the update "*" issue - It still saves, but it is unnerving.

ok - on to the the next issue - TIFF files.
I have a site I was updating and now under 6 and now all the TIFF files are not able to load?

So are TIFF pictures out?
I did not see this in the release changes - I hope this is not true...

Thanks,

Larry

Scott,

I also have issues with object rotation, object layers and final page creation.
My issue is I have a couple of pictures that I rotated @ 15deg and they are stacked or layered to look a specific way. It shows it correctly on the screen, but when the page is built the background is in the wrong layer.

Here is what happens when the page is built under VSD 6.0.1 (I will try 6.0.2) -

Here is the same page built with VSD 5.9 - http://www.autolinkeadvisor.com/

VSD has never supported TIFF. Only GIF, JPG and not PNG
