Installed the new build last night, opened/saved/published my main site and everything worked and validated off the bat. Good stuff!

I also posted a support ticket, but...

I used the instructions to unzip the new themes into the ".../program files/../../my themes" folder, but they don't show in the list of available themes when beginning to develop a new site... Any workarounds or help from users since CC hasn't responded yet ( I know it's only been a few hours, but I'm itchy!)

thanks,
Robert

A few things with 6.0...
1. I miss the canned effects such as buttons with preset shadows or bevels, etc. in the styles area. -- Sometimes I want to change a bunch of buttons' styles by doing a quick click on one of the preset styles. The new styles menu seems to be just pre-canned patterns. I was hoping to be able to customized them so I can use them again.
2. Strange action with some of the shapes. i.e. select one of the stars and "drag" the right side arrow. I normally expect the shape to be able to grow horizontally. Instead, it moves the entire shape horizontally across the page.
3. Why not combine the fill into the object menu? Fill only seems to work on objects and since you've un-tabbed the menus (I like this) why not just add (combine) the fill properties to the object properties.
4. During installation, I selected "don't remove old version" but I don't see the old version there anymore. Even the link to it now starts the new 6.0 version.

Other than this stuff, it looks good so far... I'll keep testing.
Ron:)

Simply place the vnu, vns and folder into the my themes folder and they should appear. If you find a theme missing the vns file, just let us know which one it is and we can double check the file.

Sorry but you can only have one version installed at a time. The installer just defaults to that option but in actuality you have no choice ;)

Hi Scott,

Interesting... I'm also getting the different color flashes when changing pages. Never used to happen... Looks like the same thing as above. I too use a gradient background, so maybe that's the common issue...

I'll leave it up for a little while so you can see it before I remove the bug manually.

www.skylineviewreno.com is the website in question...

Also. I noticed the background color stuff was moved from the <body> tag in VSD 5.94 to a <div> tag in VSD 6.0... not sure if that has something to do with it.
Looks like VSD 6.0 is doing this to all of my pages
Keep smiling,
Ron

two of the pages from my site with the random background-color values:
<table style="height:1100px; background-image: url('files/Page2_IMG_BCK.jpg'); background-color: #b80200;"

<table style="height:1100px; background-image: url('files/Page8_IMG_BCK.jpg'); background-color: #18ae45;"

Ok, so I think I have this tracked down. First there are 2 colors that are being set here:

1. The background fill color for outside of border.
2. The page background color is for inside of the border.

Right now if you select an image to be used for the page background, it will also use the solid color. This is why you see the brief "flash". What we need to do is if you have selected an image, do not set the background-color.

Now to fix this simply change the background color to match the same as the background file and save. Now change the background to an image. This will remove that "flash".

Weird thing is that when I remove the background-color tag, I get a completely blank page... need to investigate a bit more...

Is that a bug or a user selectable option?

Scott, if you have the beta of this should you dl this one over it ?

Thanks ;)

What I meant was, I had a pre release version and it seems fine.

Should I use this version or just keep my pre release one? Stability wise, etc.

Thanks ;)
