Very Important question that concerns...
I would think the issue I am having is one many users have, so I hope someone from CoffeeCup can help me/us as soon as they can
I had all of my files and hard work on my Windows XP 32bit 2005 media edtion.
The computer, a Hell, I mean Dell, XPS Generation 4, was getting blue screens up the wazoo and would not open unless I ran it in safe mode.
I called Hell, I mean Dell's (there I go again, lol) "customer service" located in...(insert foreign country here).... and they kept stalling because my PC's warranty expires soon. They never fixed it so I bought a new PC recently.
I purchased a new PC Vista 64 with Intel Core i7 1.5 Terabyte HD, with 4 Gig Ram, etc, etc. The old PC stopped running even in Safe Mode and the OS will no longer boot. I took the two hard drives out (they were stripped array) and put them in my super PC so now they are recognized as another hard drive in Drive K (There is room for 6 HD's).
The headache is, when I open up CoffeCup Flash Firestarter or Visual Site Designer it looks for all my files on C/DocumentsandSettings/ComputerName/Desktop which is where they were on my original PC.
They now are in that basic location but in K/ blah blah blah.
What can I do to make the programs get to the right paths?
Thank you kindly.

Although you may own more than one CC program and this post may fit into several categories, this is a general question and there is no need to double post. This way things aren't repeated or missed.

CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Hi,
Most of the CoffeeCup applications have an "options" or "preferences" section/tab where you can set the default directories for saving files or getting your images from. The html editor settings would look like the image I attached to this message.
You would need to change the drive letter by clicking on the little folder on the right, then navigation to your new drive, then to your coffeecup folder of your choice. Then click ok, and check to see. On some applications you may need to close the program and then open it again.
Other programs may vary.

I understand that, yet you double posted here, lol

Thanks Cliff, but where is the attachment?
This is great, now VSD won't open at all.

Hmmm.
Since VSD now won't open, I am trying Flash Firestarter for now. It has a preferences option but nothing about changing the navigation.
Am I looking in the wrong area?
What would be the steps within both VSD and FF to get my files on my "new" K drive?
Thanks Cliff

Anyone?
Lost the attachement, sorry.
How about this for an idea. You have free upgrades of the purchased products, rightÉ ....dang keyboard thinkès itès french...where is that appostrophy in French (question mark!)
Go to coffeecup and download the programs you own. Install them to the drive you want (even back to the default c drive if need be). Then cut and past, or even copy and paste so you have a backup file, from your k drive to c drive for all your coffeecup files that you use. This way you are back to using your default settings.
Other option is to hope that there is an option for the default drive during the installation that lets you choose what files to look for. Either way, a fresh install should work and at least the new computer will have the program listed in the windows registry, which is probably why the program does not run.
