Thanks for the quick replies (and on a holiday no less!) - OK, one more question - if I uninstall both versions and reinstall V7, will my web site files be safe or are they some of the "installed components" it was talking about deleting?

Your stuff that you created with V6 will be fine. Uninstalling will have no effect.

Thanks everyone. Un-installed everything, re-installed V7 and all is working perfectly.

In VSD7, I am having trouble telling it what size to make the web page. Half of the choices in the drop down box don't work, the other half gives you some other number than the one you clicked on.

It sounds like you maybe using 120DPI as your display resolution. Try resetting that back to the normal 96DPI and see if that helps.

Bear with me Scott.

Are you talking about the resolution setting in my Control Panel under Display? If so that setting is set to 1366 x 768. I do not see a setting where I can set the DPI to 96 instead of 120. I have Windows 7

Well, according to that my setting is at 96 (Small). So it must be something else that is causing this problem

The new copy and paste offset is a major PITA. I copy and paste for identical menus etc on all my pages. Needs to be adjustable or able to turn it off.

Ive upgraded and started on a brand new webpage. I love the buttons and want to do a mouse over on every button - so I have the silver type button with a rainbow mouseover.

My buttons sort of go like this across the page.

Home Dairy mares/Filles Geldings/colts etc., 11 buttons in all in a horizontal line.

So go to do the mouseover with the first button, comes up lovely in preview. Go to do the same with the second button and when I go to preview its says that its interfering with another mouseover. If I move the button an inch below, it works ok, but obviously want my buttons to be in a line across the page.

any ideas ?

Also I have to keep installing the new one as the shortcut doesnt seem to want to work. I have taken off the old one completely, ive down loaded twice now (removing the previous version)

Thanks

sorry edited to say also when I copy and pasted my buttons to each page - the copied ones, about 4 of them had a blue shadow underneath in preview, checked all the shadows in object and nothing but the black shadow I had put on - i deleted one and did it fresh on the page and the shadow went.

thanks

The preview message applied the same in V6, it is either too close to another button or other object,

This applies to either an object above below or to one side, it may even be too close to your header, or you may have a simple underline, or image across the page above or below your buttons

The copy paste issue appearing 10 pixls accross to the right and 10 pixles down CC did intentionally, lots of suggestions have been put forward about option to switch on or off, awaiting CC update

If your doing lots of pages, best tip is create all your buttons once on first page, and move them to a positing which when you clone the page appear in the right place, then keep the original as a template for all new pages.. it is i think move ten up and ten to left
