Since Version 6 I am facing the problem that when uploading some changes I get the error message:
"An error occured while uploading" ... OK
This happens while uploading the files from the folder "files".
With normal FTP-Transfer www it works perfect.

HELP !!! Thanks

Try pausing your virus protection programs
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Another suggestion is to enable Passive Mode under the FTP settings. That typically fixes this type of error.

I sometimes see that error with a spotty internet connection. If my connection fluctuates for a second during the upoad I'll get it...

I, too, have seen that error. Setting Passive FTP mode works slightly better for me and has resolved>75% of my errors.

My office T1 uploads fine.
My home office Comcast Cable modem in Chicago is more susceptible.
Oddly enough, while I have faster download/upload speeds in Chicago, in Houston, the Comcast Cable modem worked flawlessly every time. It was just about 1/2 the speed.

Direct FTP works every single time without Passive mode from anywhere although I have noticed that some of my graphics get messed up occasionally using it.
