Upload error - "can't remove...

Okay, so I've been making a lot of changes to my site today - everything was working perfectly for a while - "successfully updated" every time - but then I started getting error messages when I tried to upload. I tested the internet connection and got the following "upload error" at the end of the diagnostic:

"can't remove directory - directory not empty"

Lunarpages is my hosting company - anybody know if I need to manually delete the directories from their site (have no clue how to do that) so I can successfully upload my changes.

Thank you!!!!!

Thank you - that is so kind of you to reply to my post!

I am using VSD 5.5. It was working perfectly all day, and then suddenly it failed to upload my changes. I tried again and again, always with the same error messages.

Thank you, again!!

Sometimes a hidden file will keep you from deleting a directory. The Coffeecup free FTP is one that will show .filename type files without any special configuration. I may be way off base on this, but it will not cost anything other than a little time to check for hidden files.

Hi mccormick,

There is an issue with DFTP and some kinds of server setup. Typically if you have set up your server with a remote folder other than www or public_html, you may encounter such a problem. The techies know about it and they are looking into the problem.
Ha en riktig god dag!
