unwanted graphic

Hi. Everything working pretty well on the sign language site I am developing. But suddenly, a wierd thing started happening. On one page I am getting a green grahic that is replacing my home button. Actually it's not replacing it, but it acts like the original button and when I hover the mouse over it I get the right mouse-over button. All my other pages with the home button are working correctly.

I opened up the page in CC HTML editor and saw that is is references img_82.jpg. When I go to the local folder with my site and browse to that image it is correct.

I have attached to pics. Pic 1 shows the graphic that appears. Pic two shows the original home button that works on every other page. The mouse-over is just the button being indented. Same text, dimensions, etc.

I have deleted the button from the offending page and did a copy/paste from a page that is working. Still no fix.

I should also mention that several times (after I did the delete, then copy and paste) and republished, the graphic appears over another button. Alsways on the same page and always acting as an original button that has th correct mouse-over effect.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Galen

Galen, Try clearing your browser cache. I checked your button on all your pages and it was yellow on all.:)

Here is the site address:

The graphic is on the ASL 2 page.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do clear my cache after each publish. See what you think on the above site.

Thanks,

Galen, When you delete the unwanted graphic, do you also go to your site's Files folder and delete it from there as well? I'd make sure none of those unwanted images (IMG_69 and IMG_84) are still in there.

Galen, You have a mouseover applied to the button. If you go to that page in VSD and check you mouseover settings using the buttonize feature you should be able to get it to behave how you want. Be real careful that you know which image your working with when making changes. The "Original" or the "Mouseover".:)

Thanks to you both. It seems IMG_84 is the graphic I want to remove. I am working on page asl2.html.

First I went in and rechecked my mouseover effects. Everything was just right. I even changed them saved VSD. Then went back and changed them to the way they should be. No luck.

I then went in and deleted IMG_84 and IMG_69. Deleleted the Home button on asl2.html page. and saved in VSD. Went to published site and removed those two files. Cleared my cache.

Reopened VSD. Now as I would expect, there is no Home button on page asl2.html. So thought I would preview it. Guess what? Now the graphic has moved down to the Handshape button. And now the mouseover effect does not work on it. Go figure! Thought I would publish it for the heck of it and you can see the results.

I don't know how you all do this kind of work!! This one simple site is driving me crazy!

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Galen

I was starting to suggest one more idea and had a look at your site first. Looks like you got it figured out :D
What was going on with it? Did it have anything to do with creating a mouse-over on top of the background images?

Not sure how it worked out. I stopped working on it out of frustration. And, was just going to let it sit there for a couple of days. Now i'm curious myself.

Looks as if you got the mouseovers right and now your browser cache is cleared so it works.:)
