Toolbox Disappeared

Hi, I can't find my Toolbox :( I remember shoving it off to the left so I could get at the part of the page I was working on and I guess I shoved it all the way off. Anyway, it's not there now, either on my website that I'm working on, or even if I open a new one--it's just gone! Doesn't help to maximize the page. Help!

If this means I have to uninstall the program and reinstall it, will I have to rebuild my website, I hope not?

Thanks,
Willow

Try going to the View Menu > Show Left Toolbar and see if that brings it back.

Well, my View Menu doesn't say "Show Left Toolbar." It says, "Hide Toolbar," and "Hide Toolbox." Hiding and showing the Toolbar work fine. But clicking on "Hide Toolbox" and "Show Toolbox" has no results.

The only thing I can think of to restore it is to re-install the software. This will not have any impact on your saved websites. Just install VSD over the previous install and it should reset that toolbar.

The only thing I can think of next to try is to go into the registry and start deleting a few things.

1. Close VSD.
2. Go to Start > Run and type REGEDIT

3. Navigate to this location and delete the Visual Site Designer folder
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CoffeeCup Software

4. Restart VSD.

Will that teach you to stop messing with toolbars? :)

Yes, so Yay and Thank You! I had tried and got confused
yesterday and gave up, but went back just now, did it, and
my tool box is back in place. And yes, it DID teach me not
to mess with toolbars!

Hi Scott,

After I followed your instructions:

1. Close VSD.
2. Go to Start > Run and type REGEDIT

3. Navigate to this location and delete the Visual Site Designer folder
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CoffeeCup Software

I was thrilled to see the tool box back, but now I have a different problem.
After deleting the above, I had to give VSD my Hostgator info again. Now
I can't update my website. What do you think the problem is?

Thanks,

Willow

What sort of problems are you having? Do you get a specific error message?
