Have got the latest version of VSD and I notice that text links now do not work. This seems to have changed since the older version. I need to be able to link parts of my text. Is this likely to be rectified soon? Cheers!

Hi miniboo,
have you tried to uninstall restart and reinstall the new version or did you just upgrade without uninstalling? could make a difference.
What OS are you using if i may ask. I am using VSD in XP SP2 and I am having no problems with text links, or image links. thought maybe trying this may help. Let us know Please. Thanks

Mini, did you test the links in preview only or did you upload the changes? I added a link in 5.8.1 and while it didn't show in my preview for whatever reason, it was correct online after uploading.

In reply to you Bruce, I am also operating on the same system as yourself - XP SP 2 and yes, I did a complete uninstall before downloading the new version.
Adam, on testing in preview mode, none of the links work. I have also uploaded and same again - the links do not work there either.
I also noticed when I went to add the links to my selected text in the first instance, that the link inspector showed but was greyed out.By the way, links are working to images and objects with no troubles. So I'm stumped. It all worked fine in the previous version and my system hasn't changed.
Thanx.

Be sure the text to be linked is highlighted, not just the textbox itself. Otherwise, the Link options will be grayed out:

Yes Adam, I am doing this and highlighting the text only, not the box!
Perhaps I am trying to do something which VSD does not support - text has mouseover enabled and it appears the link box then disappears. Can text with a mouseover not be linked?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
