"Save Changes" on exiting V7

I can't find any mention of this in any other threads, and it's really just an oddity, it doesn't have any impact on how well VSD is working.

I go in and make my changes to my website, then when I am done, I click "save". The software goes thru it's motions, the box pops up telling me it's building pages, etc. Within a few seconds, it's done. Then I click the "publish" button - again, the box pops up, the software builds the pages, then it connects, it makes the changes, and I get a message telling me my website has been successfully updated.

So I then go to close VSD. I get a message asking me if I want to save my changes. What changes? I saved it and then uploaded it and that was all. I didn't open anything else, didn't make any additional changes. But somehow it's telling me something has been changed and should be saved. So I click "yes" and it goes thru the full save again, building pages, etc. Then it exits. And everything is fine on my website - all my changes are just as I want them to be and the site is current with the copy on my machine.

So should I just ignore this second save attempt? It was always drilled into me to "save your work", so I haven't tried exiting without the save. This is something that came with V7 - when I have V6, I would save, publish and then exit cleanly with no second save request.

Thanks!

That is perfectly normal. There are just many checks and balances in the software to ensure that you save your work and some of those will be asked even if nothing was modified.

I was thinking it was the creation of the backup file that was causing this.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
