Where does VSD get the file names for the Remove Files list? I look in that list and it appears to me there are necessary files in the list. So I am afraid to check them off and let VSD remove them.

Thanks,

The remove files list is a list of files associated with your site. Don't check the box's unless you know you want those files gone.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

They should have the same names you gave them. If you delete an item from your website files, delete that same item in the Remove Files. For example; if you delete a form because you want to make a new/different form, you would then go to Remove Files and delete all your original form files. Don't delete any items in the Remove Files that you're using on your site - it's just there for your convenience if you ever do need to get rid of unused items.

Is this supposed to work on s-drive too? I've used the remove files function to delete a lot of s-drive files yet this still exist on the s-drive dashboard. Not in my local hard drive anymore and no loner show up in remove files which seems to now make them permanent on s-drive...
