Publishing issue

When I 'Preview' my site in Visual Site Designer absolutely everything works perfectly, but when I go to the published site a particular function doesn't work. I have added a very simple html script. Upon mouseover of a thumbnail image that image is supposed to be represented in an enlarged window. An example of this can be seen by going to the home page then clicking on the 'Dresden Dresser' (the middle black and white image on the top row. Or most any other piece of furniture on the site). It has been suggested that the issue might be related to . . . html referencing the correct location or the file structure getting changed in some way upon upload. I don't find anything wrong though.

My site: www.gitaneworkshop.com

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? If so, any idea what the issue might be?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

The problem from what I remember Scott is the custom HTML script you are adding is what is causing the problem. I remember looking at your files and as soon as we removed that script, everything worked fine. What I think the issue is your server has some sort of issue linking to that image which is why it works locally but not on your server.

I would suggest dumping that script and use Colorbox instead.

Scott, What script are you using?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I based my script on one that I found on Dynamic Drive.com. It is calledd "Image Thumbnail Viewer II". Can't believe it is working perfectly on preview but dead in the water upon publish.

Well you have my solution posted yesterday. You just need to dump that script. ;)

Scott, I couldn't find the script on your server.

I have tried the same and got it working as well.

According to Eric's findings, all you have to do is to upload the missing file.

Thank you guys (eric and inger) so much for taking a look at this for me. That is awesome that you've found the problem. The truth is though . .. I can get the links which you have posted to work and am unsure what the issue actually is. I gather that I have some script missing but don't know which script it is. I also don't know how to upload an individual portion of script for when I do learn what is missing. Thanks again for your help on this!

I'm having trouble today publishing my site. it got about 1/4 of the way done and lost connection so my content was lost. I'm working to get it back up.:/

To get the script added to your site, go to add files in VSD then click on the root directory. Now browse your computer to where the thumbnailviewer2.js file is and add it. Now publish your site and it should work.:)
