I have been trying to publish my site and initially I was getting the catalog error so after reading some post I realized that I may have had some character problems so I renamed all of my pages with #'s and letter and it seems to have solved the catalog problem. Now when I try to publish I get a message this error message, "The program could establish a connection to the internet. Please check to see if you have entered the correct S-Drive or FTP information. You should also make sure your computer is connected tot the Internet".

I have access to the internet, I am able to access other websites and I am using the FTP setting not the S-Drive. Also when I opened the FTP settings tab I noticed that there is an account already set up is that the one I use or do I need to create a new account. One other question please, also the UN & PW fields have data entered is that defaulted.

Thanks in advance and any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Where would you like to publish your site? S-drive or another host?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Hi Rocco, I just went through this about an hour ago. Got that same message about the internet connection. Turns out I made a typo in the FTP settings.
Go to set up FTP account first and either choose the one you want or add a new site, save it then go to the Publish icon and click. If it doesn't work, you can go back to where you input the site's ftp settings and choose to run a test - that might tell you something.

Let us know how it goes :)

Good morning paintbrush, I called my hosting company & they advised that the server is my domain, so I tried with & without the ftp. prefix. In response to Eric's question I am publishing to a hosting company! When I run a rest the error is invalid UN or PW, I am a little confused, when I first accessed the ftp area there was a UN & PW inserted in the fields and that did not work so I inserted the UN & PW to log into the CC support area is that the correct UN & PW info

Thanks so much for your assistance.

not normal I would say....depends I guess if your using dial up, or the size of your site, mp3's or other flash objects could all have an impact. Could be the server itself too.
With Whom Are You Hosted With? 15minutes? did it stop on you?
