I'm getting a message that the image type is invalid when I try to add it to the page.

Hi Lee(lisa)
I tried your example in VSD and it worked fine for me, as to why it's not working for you, I have no idea, I would suggest maybe renaming it logo only and see if it makes any difference as the name logopng.png maybe confusing it somehow onyour machine. let us know please.:)

Here are a couple of screenshots. I renamed the image "logo2.png". If I can't get the image transparent, I can't use the way cool gradient background that just amazes the heck out of me.

Yeah, that works, I was just trying to get away from the residual white where the drop shadows are.

But thank you, I really appreciate your help, I can work with this. I'm just sorry the png wouldn't work for me. *sigh*

Bruzer, just saw your latest posts. So, it works for you, but not for me. I wonder why not. Do you suppose if I manually changed the name in the files once I've got it uploaded to png (of course making sure the image is available) it would work?

Thanks, David, that's the gif image Bruzer made.

I just uploaded the logo2.png to the files directory and changed the name of the image in my index.html file to logo2.png from logopng.gif and it's working fine.

My VSD just doesn't like it. Go figure. At least I know there's a workaround. I can do an image in jpg and png, and change the coding accordingly.
