Why have to use the carriage return key? Why not use padding?

For those who don't use VSD, it's a WYSIWYG program – no coding knowledge required. Although, if one does want to add some custom code, it is possible. Anyway, VSD itself does not provide a place to adjust padding, margins, borders....

I've been typing blocks of text (multi paragraphs) with no returns except to add a space between paragraphs. Then I preview in various browsers, and check the differences, go back to VSD and adjust the text box (wider/narrower). The text might look awkward in VSD, but it looks fine on the live site. I try to leave some space around text boxes so there's room for adjustment. Get the text right, then add the photos/graphics. If the text has to fit around/between other items, putting each paragraph in a separate text box works well.

I would agree with you paintbrush. Check it and tweak it. Do what ever works the best for each situation.
