Only part of a jpg will act as a link...
Using VSD, I created a page with two columns. There are multiple jpgs in each column and each has a link to a website.
The links work ok in IE8 but with Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari, none of the links in column 1 will activate even though the HREF code is there. Secondly, only a segment of each jpg in column two will activate. The hand icon only shows for a part of the jpg as you scroll over the image.
The portion of the column 2 jpgs that activate are in the same location for each.
I need a way to make all of each jpg an active link. It already is when using IE8.

Hi Ian,
can you post a link to your site so we can have a look?

I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.
Sounds like an element on the page is positioned on top of the links, blocking them. In such cases, IE will still let you click the links, but other browsers won't see the covered links.
Thank you Cary! You're level of expertise clearly matches your taste in women and cigars!
You were absolutely right. I had a nearly empty text box overlaying the various jpg's.
I had no idea that such "layers" would cause problems.
When I cut it back, all was perfect with all browsers.
I wish Coffee Cup tech support was that sharp. . All I got from them
was a copy of the general rules for setting up links.
