One of three photos doesn't publish

I have quite a simple website - mostly text but I have three photos at the top. Using VSD they all appear as I would expect. When I save my work, then use IE to access my site, a blank photo area appears with a smal red "x" in the top left in the blank space. I have tried going back to VSD, deleting the photo, and re-installing but this doesn't work. Another clue that might help - when in VSD if I click on another of the three photos then save, the same thing happens but with a different photo.

I have tried Chrome and the same thing happens but with an odd Chrome-like logo instead of the red X

I have tried all sorts of twists and turns but cannot seem to get all three photos to appear in the published site.

I am sure I did something incorrectly - what is it?

Thanks

Are those photos links, that is clickable? Do they overlap somehow? That could be a problem.

If that is not the case, the best would be if you upload the site and let us have a peek at the code.

No, Inger - they are not clickable (but I wish they were - do you have any good reference as to how to do this?) On a general computer competence scale on my XP SP3 I am about a six out of ten.

I assume I should attach my CC VSD file so I'll go ahead and do it.

Many thanks for your help.

OOPS! Program didn't want to accept my .vnu file, or the "Index" file or the jpg photo from the "files" folder.

Realizing I am not that brilliant with this sort of thing, what should I send and how?

I think naming your file Regatta #2.jpg is the problem, most servers don't like spaces or # in a file name, try regata2.jpg and see if that for the picture and code works for you :)

Hey, David - I had high hopes but...

I changed to "Regatta" in the files folder and republished - sorry - same thing.

The photos are not links - just photos via the "Picture" tool of VSD.

When I click on a photo via the .vnu program this brings up a blue box without being asked - does this help?.

I may just delete all three photos and start over.

INGER - By the way - I did manage to attach the"Index" file now (I think) but have no idea where it is going - maybe an attachment to this message? We shall see...

INGER & DAVID - thanks - we'll get it sooner or later.

Hi Neptune;

your code is <div class="Object2"><img style="border:none;" src="files/Regatta #2.jpg" alt="" width=183 height=141></div>

try the name regatta.jpg both with the file name and in the code

no # or capitals

Neptune-
Basically your picture is linked to the wrong file name.
You need to delete the file from the files by clicking on Settings, Remove Files, then remove that picture file. When you use the picture tool in VSD it will automatically load the picture file into the files folder when you save the page. As mentioned, files names with spaces, odd characters, etc. do not work. Also if you want to make the picture a link, select the picture, then click the Add Link button. When the info box comes up select the type of link (e-mail, web site, or document) and add the information or select a file. You can also select to open in a new window or same window.
Good Luck
