Okay, I bought now....several issues
I just went ahead and purchased VSD tonight. I have enjoyed the trial use and did run into several problems. I have 2 sites in progress, but am going (for the moment) to devote to the 'simpler' but longer. Simpler in that there is no shopping cart involved. This is a simple content management site.
I have about 28 pages 'done'. Not uploaded anywhere. And I have no clue (okay, definitely a nontechnie here) how to do that. I'm going to presume that you have to get it loaded prior to doing anything with links, right? As links need the actual web address of the different pages.
Okay, so what happens when I add more pages (and I'm going to do this...many times over).
Yes, I have a ton more questions, but now that I don't have the 21 day 'gun' over my head, I'm going to spend time to make this right. Thanks for any (simple) advice on how to make this happen. Yes, I do plan on having this go 'live' and yes I do know/expect that I'll have to pay someone to host it. My current host is willing to add it on for about $100 a year.
advice?

Well I'll take one item, you can get a great host plan from 1 and 1 for about 60.00 a year, or you can use your SDrive account and just have your domain name point to it.
Once you make that decision, you can configure VSD to the server and password info needed to make uploading simple.

You don't have to upload your site before you create your links and/or navigation. With 28 pages already, it would be a good idea to have that worked out before the site is published
In VSD there's a link tool in the top menu, it will create links to pages within your site, other websites, documents and email.

Regarding those links, I am guessing you have things like "about Me" "home" "Contact " etc etc
If you use the links tool once on your home page once you have checked they are all correct you can do SHIFT and then left click each tab or heading, or object until you have collected all of them, and then paste the whole lot links intact onto your next pages, 1 by 1
Its actually NOT essential to remove the same non working ones you can paste over the top, BUT it is better to remove them all to help your pages load faster.

I just purchased VSD and it has downloaded onto my Mac BUT when I open it, it presents as a text box with code in it. HELP. What do I need to do? Thanks, Therese
VSD can't run on a MAC at this time. CC is working on MAC versions of their software as we type.

You mean I spent twice as much for this box with an apple on it and none of the cool Windows apps will run on it? Awe, that's OK. I can still sit at Starbucks and look cool while sipping my Macchiato.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
