I'm new to Web Design and am in the market to purchase software to design templates and a website.
I have begun to trial some Coffeecup Software, but with some applications, I'm gettong the message they are not Windows 32 compatible. Is there anywhere on your website which advertises what systems your software is compatible with as I haven't come across it. I have Windows Vista on my computer.
The way I see it, if Visual Site Designer is compatible but the Fonts etc that compl;iment this are not, then it's pretty much obsolete for me.
Is there anything I'm missing.

I plan to be a CoffeeCup client in the very near future, and I have my eyes on the Designer Pack. I am a total greenhorn, and no very little about true website building.
The extent of my knowledge is building FreeWebs websites, and editing my Content Management Websites that were designed by a friend and uploaded for me. See www.shawinappaloosas.com and www.marcus.co.nz
I used Page Mason (ISP Lunar Pages) and managed to upload a website called www.nzsportaloosas.com. This is just a practice website and will be pulled down again, as it was just to help me learn about subdomains and redirection.(I did warn you, that I'm a total newby). .
I have been trying to educate myself further to take a more advanced step. I have purchased a Pocket HTML pocket book and the book Php A Beginners Guide, by Vikram Vaswani.
I have used the Blue Voda website builder to go through the process of building a site before uploading.
Now I want to design a template for a friend and totally build a new website using the phpwebsite or CMS, with her current domain name www.appaloosastud.co.nz. and stay with her current ISP.
This way she can edit the Site herself at any time.without trying to find people to do this for her.
That is a bit of background, and now my question is, can I do this reasonably easily using the Coffeecup Software? I will of course rely on a lot of help sites for some guidance. I will probaly build using a subdomain name in the first instance.

That error means the application did not fully download and Windows does not know what to do with it. You need to just re-download the software again.

Hi Shazza,
you can learn HTML and do most things with the Coffeecup HTML editor as you go along.
PHP I would do in notepad. I'm sure there are dedicated editors but you still have to write the code since it's a programming language.
