Match Colors of SCCP Theme - Page 1

I am trying to use VSD7 to build my home page so that I can have flash in the header, which you cannot do in SCCP because someone forgot to put that feature into SCCP (hint, hint, hint).

I am using the SCCP Theme Classical Jazz. So I got the same theme in VSD. I want to make the background of the flash to match the background color of part of the SCCP theme. How can I match this? The software will tell you that it is color #BBD5DF, but you can't enter that # anywhere in VSD. It also gives you the HUE, SAT, LUM, etc. numbers but they are useless because the software in VSD will not let you enter these numbers to get the color. Why those boxes for HUE,SAT, etc. are editable I do not know because you can't edit them.

Help!!:o

Hiya Steven,

Check out the Website Color Schemer that CC has, it's a great little program and definitely an awesome helper where colors are concerned on websites. It's not real expensive and I think you'll find it invaluable for things like what you need it for right now. It also helps you create color schemes by giving you a lot of them to start with as well as letting you create your own. Quite a slick little program. Try the trial and see if it's worth it for yourself :)

I always wondered how CC could make money if they did not charge for version upgrades, now I know!! Have 20 pieces of software to do the job 1 should do. ;)

Ok, I have the trial, I'll check it out.

Ok, I "snatched" the color off the theme into Color Schemer, now what do I do? It gives me the Hex #, which is useless, and RGB #'s which are useless, I already knew these. How do I get this color into VSD7?

I would read the Help file but Color Schemer is too stupid to know that I have Adobe Reader on my computer. It keeps tell me to install Adobe Acobat. Which I believe is a $100 program. Reader is free. and I have it!!:mad:

Well, I lot of good that did.
Here is what it says to do:

Now go to the page you are working on in Visual Site Designer and click the Default Color tool (the small colored rectangular box located at the very top of the left toolbar). This opens the Color window, which allows you to choose from a predefined set of colors in the operating system. If you click Define Custom Colors, you'll be able to enter the RGB (red, green, blue) values into the Red, Green, and Blue fields. You can also define custom colors using the Hue, Saturation, and Luminosity (HSL) values if you have them. Click OK to add this color to the Custom Colors palette

I would love to click "Define Custom Colors" but in my VSD7, it is grayed out and you cannot click on it. What gives guys? Do I have to set a setting to get it to work or what?

In vsd 7 use shapes tool to creat an oblong size of header or whatever you want

click on fill and select the small square whatever colour it is ?

now it should all work for you

Just suggesting using oblong object as a way of describing how it works

or you could drag that header image in i sent you and do the above with that
