I have edited my original post as all seems to be fine except for the one WMV file at this link.

http://www.trianglefiretales.com/stories.html (Second item by Beatrice Lovitt)

It opens fine in IE7 but will not open in Firefox. I have uploaded the slideshow to my server btw. Not sure what I'm doing wrong!

Hey Debbie

I have some 25 to 30 wmv video's and some slideshows that are played on a website. I upload all the video's and audio's to my hosting site on the web with the free ftp program from CC. I have no problem having them play or download.

I hope this helps.

Having just checked, this particular WMV will not open in Opera, Safari or Netscape as well as Firefox. I've never had to insert someone else's slideshow before so not sure what I might be doing wrong. Seems fine in IE7 still.

Hi Debbie,
I'm not sure if this is the cause but I noticed you have 2 versions of Brushfires.wmv
I also see your using VSD which is nice.
one of the names brushfires_ 2009 (has a space between _2009) and the other doesn't.
I took the liberty of trying this in my make believe website and it worked in both in IE and Firefox. ( link removed) see what you think. This is using
Brushfires_2009.wmv
personally I would try removing the videos and re-adding one of them.
Have you thought about maybe converting it to Flash using CC Web Video Player .

Thanks for your help Bruzer. I did delete offending files and re-added just the one I needed but for some reason (I've yet to figure) it still wouldn't open in anything other than IE7. So....I got the CC Web Video Player as you suggested and did it on that. Works fine now. Thanks again:D

OK Great, I see you got it, I will delete the file from my server now.
Good luck and your welcome.
