Hello,
Thanks for some nice software. So far I'm enjoying making my first page, but I have struck troulbe with Japanese fonts.
I can use them in all other software I have, but not VSD v6.

Please tell me that all I need is an add-on...

I also tried another visual site designer(which I didn't like as much as VSD), and the Japanese font worked with that one until I saved and closed it, then reopened it. On reopening, the font was unreadable even in the contruction window...

Can I make my Japanese site??

Unfortunately, VSD doesn't support this yet.

I guess one option might be to make the text an image? The problem with that is that the search engines wouldn't be able to pick up the text as an image....nor text readers.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Of course when using the advanced text it does turn the text to an image and at the bottom of the object properties window is a place called "alternate text" which should take care of that problem...:)

That is okay if its a short burst of text but if its a whole page then I'm not sure how alternate text copes with that...and can you put Japanese characters in Alt text and have them stick? Some interesting questions :D

Yep, it would be impossible to use Japanese alt text.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
