Images not saving properly in VSD
I am using VSD 5.9.4 and using the barber template. I am trying to place a small graphic in the top part of the page. It shows the image, even in preview mode, however, when I upload all the files, IE won't show the image. When I looked at the source code, it does not seem to be converting the img src properly.
To get it to work, I had to manually add the path.
I can move the image to different areas of the page. Some work, some have same problem.

Hi Rick,
I was looking for the folder called "files" within this folder are the images nessesary for the website to show up completely. When uploading VSD, the files folder is automatically located to the root along with the html files and all add-ons such as flashes(swf's) Forms and such. Is your "files" folder located in such a way as this?

Hi Bruce,
Yes, files is a sub folder off of the root. My problem was really how VSD was writing the html, if the pic was in different locations.

well Rick, where ever you place your image on your pages it is saved in the files folder by VSD, so unless you manually change this, it will be in that folder. If your talking about different locations from your hard drive then it makes a copy of said image, and places it in the files folder, if you move that image from that location it may cause an error and ask you to search for it again.
If you notice the db.vsd file it is a database or record of what is used on your website, if anything is changed or removed it will look at that file on the upload and if it see's something then it will either ask you about it or ask if you want to delete it if it's not used anymore.

Well it appears that this exact thing is happening to me. Please take a look at D8LL.org. I recreated the entire site because I thought it was something on my end. I got three pages into the re-creation and it started happening again. All of the graphics are in the "files" folder, like they should be. I don't understand why this is happening with the home page and not the others. Before re-creating the new website, the old one had it happening to all of the pages. I have not moved any of the files/folders around at all. HELP.

I resynced it and it seems to be fine now, but I could not get that to work with the old website.

One trick I found is the picture file name has to be one continious title. If there are any spaces in the file name the picture will not upload correctly.
ie- if the picture name is Jimmys Birthday.jpg change it to Jimmys_Birthday.jpg or JimmysBirthday.jpg
Also make sure characters are not a part of the file name. Punctuation and even capital letters sometimes won't work.
