I'm confused. How does Coffee Cup Visual go from file.vnu to HTML? :(

I have a websight that I want to change, but still desire to keep the visuals I currently have.
My background is Microsoft's FrontPage which I really liked and then Adobe's DreamWeaver (which I can no longer afford to update). Hence I turned to Coffee Cup (CC), but am not doing so well.
I can't seem to understand how the program works.

Luckily the free CC HTML editor and FileZilla have allowed me to update my current site.

I need help and direction.

Take Care,
Scooter

VSD creates it's html code through propitiatory scripts buried deep within the program. Any attempt to get at these scripts will cause immediate mayhem on your pc.;) Working with existing code from other sources is only possible by inserting the code into your page using the html tool. Several users have done this method until they have the opportunity to redo the design completely in VSD.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
