Everytime I upload my VSD-created site to my server, I go and test it with a couple of browsers. It looks okay in IE 7, but in FF3, it is all screwy looking until I hit F5 or select the "Reload" button.
I know what's causing it; it's VSD's renaming of page elements. For example, the file formerly called "img_99.jpg" might be called "img_105.jpg" the next time I save it. So stuff looks out of place for each page read from the browser cache.
I know how to correct this as a user of my browsers. But as a webmaster, I wonder if there's a way I can make it easier on my users. So my question: Once I've posted a major update (split pages, moved buttons, etc), is there a way I can "force" Fire Fox (or any browser, for that matter) to ignore the contents of the browser cache and reload each page fresh from my server?
EDIT: I should clarify the question...is there a way (through HTML coding or any "tricks") that I can make my web page tell somebody's browser that it has changed since the last viewing and therefore force a reload?
Thanks in advance!
