Very new at this, so sorry if my question seems silly. I made my website with VSD. Last night, I struggled with the Free FTP thing until I finally made it connect to the server. But then, I was unsure as to which files I needed to upload to get my website on the internet. Is it just the website file? Or is it also the folder that has the same name as my website? I added both, and let them upload, but my website is not on the internet. What did I do wrong?

No question is silly! But sometimes some answers are...

The easiest way to get your site uploaded correctly, is to use the upload module in VSD. You find a green globe on the menu bar, and first time you click on it, it prompts you to set up your server connection. After you have done that, you can click on the Test button to check if you have done everything correctly. If yes, then click Upload.

Before you upload through VSD I would connect with Free FTP and remove what you have uploaded.

If you go on using the Free FTP, it's the files INSIDE the folder with the name of your website, not the folder itself.
Ha en riktig god dag!
