Had a problem a couple weeks ago - VSD crashed everytime I saved. it saved and I was able to ftp changes - a new version of the software fixed that.

Today it would not open my site - again a new version fixed that - BUT now it won't save - the "building site" message comes up but never executes and the same ol VSD error comes up and the thing shuts down. When I open it back up the changes are there visible to the naked eye in VSD. However, when I ftp the files (I use my own ftp program, not vsd's upload, that crashes vsd, too) the changes are NOT there. I have been ftp'ing this way for several weeks and yes, I am ftp'ing all the files and into the right subdirectories and am refreshing in my browser.

there was another update yesterday have you downloaded that one?

another question if I may, have you tried doing an uninstall and restart then re-installing, if you installed over the other this may be the cause.

no, the new version said it was uninstalling the old one

sometimes Sarah it's best to do a fresh install, so could you maybe try what I suggested and see if that helps. or maybe someone else here in the forums has a better idea -a way around it.
